About me

Hi, I'm Elisabeth

Where it all started

I picked up the guitar when I was 7 years old. My very first teacher was my dad. He taught me how to read scores, how to feel rhythm, and how to actually listen to music. Those early lessons at home shaped everything that came after.

From there I went on to study at H. Eller Music School and later H. Eller Music Gymnasium in Estonia, where I spent nearly a decade growing as a classical guitarist. In 2018 I moved to Denmark and began my Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, followed by my Master of Music at the same academy, which I finished in 2023.

Stage, students, and everything in between

Years of practice, performances and teaching

Alongside my studies I've spent years teaching private students of all ages and levels, and I've also taught at Räpina Music School in Estonia. In 2021 I led masterclasses with the guitar students at H. Eller Music School, and I've sat on competition juries including the Best Young Musician preliminary round and the Competition-Festival of Guitar Ensembles in Tartu.

I've had the chance to learn from some incredible teachers in masterclasses over the years. Marcin Dylla, Petra Poláćková, Dale Kavanagh, Thomas Kirchhoff, Eduardo Fernandez, Timo Korhonen and many more at festivals like the Aalborg Guitar Festival, Danish Guitar Camp, Tallinn Guitar Festival and Gitarre und Natur in Germany.

In 2021 I also arranged and compiled a guitar quartet collection called Thoughts Remain Silent, based on the music of Pärt Uusberg. Every concert, every student, and every late practice session taught me something about how to actually get better at this instrument. That is what the planner is built on.
